Gear Stone Pictures Action Again At Midland Street Jacks

Gear Stone Pictures and Monroe Studios Inc. were in Action At Midland Street Jacks in Bay City.

Filming a movie called "Elmwood". The setting is in the small town of Elmwood. It is a Horror movie about 4 young people who set out for a camping trip in the woods, only to end up in horror as they run into a serial killer.

The four characters are; Ewan Bourne as Jake, Jessica Leonard as Jen, Abe Larkin as Brandon and April Washko as Tiffany.

(Right) According to Faye Lietz, Production Manager of Monroe Studios Inc., shooting started on May 9th and will continue through the 23rd May.

On Tuesday, May 17, 2011, the film crew was filming on the West side of Bay City at Midland Street Jacks. Using the bar for a scene where 3 of the 4 campers go into a 'biker bar' to grab a bite to eat.

Lietz said, "Outdoor camping scenes were also shoot locally, the past few days, and its been cold."

Scott Marlatt, portrays the serial Killer. MyBayCity met up with Seri DeYoung of California, before her scene as the waitress of the bar where the group visit for a bite to eat.

DeYoung a native of New Mexico started acting in Theater at age twelve. In 2006 she got involved in Film & Television and has been in horror films as well as parts on 'NCIS' & 'The Medium'.

DeYoung said of Bay City and the film crew, "I am impressed with the level of professionalism and it's been great working with Bourne, (Producer and CEO of Gear Stone Pictures), he is an amazing guy and I hope I get the opportunity to work on more projects with him in the future."

Dex Estes is the Prop Master and Joni Brandt of Traverse City is the custom designer and continuity supervisor. The Film is sponsored by Rockstar Energy drink and Tim Hortons. The projected complete date of the movie is by the end of 2011.

Midland Street Jacks is located on Historical Midland Street on Bay City's West Side.

According to Co-Owner Bruce Falcon, Midland Street Jacks and Lucky's Pub have been the setting for many film scenes because of its Historical qualities. Falcon has also had a few acting parts in a few of the films.
