If there's anything Wednesdays in the Park hasn't done, it's slow down. With another huge crowd in Wenonah Park, coming by land and water as usual, it's hard to believe there's only one week remaining in this series of free concerts put on by the Bay Arts Council.

Opening this week was Bay City's own The Last Folk'n'Roll Band. The band is a "Music Preservation Society" that was formed in 2004 to keep alive their love of a fading sound, 1960's folk rock. The Last's tribute to this music breathes a life and power back in to these half forgotten gems, and makes them sparkle and shine with a new freshness.

After The Last's final song of the evening rang through the park, the crowd was treated to the high energy music and beautiful ballads of McGuffey Lane.

McGuffey Lane is one of the Mid-west's most popular bands. They have something for everyone and all who are fortunate enough to see the show walk away feeling entertained. Most recently the group has opened for Tanya Tucker, Ken Mellons, and Charlie Daniels. Headlining their own show in Bay City, McGuffey Lane fulfilled delivered on all fronts.

Make sure you come out to Wenonah Park next week Ifor the final Wednesdays in the Park of 2012 featuring The Bay City Central Steelers and Phil Dirt and the Dozers!

Sean, The correct spelling for the park is Wenonah Park - with an "h" on the end. Thanks.
