The Competition Is Heating Up at Michigan Idol held a the Stables Martini and Cigar Bar each Thursday night in Bay City.

Competitors are traveling from around the Tri-Cities, Mt. Pleasant, Pinconning, Midland, Saginaw and Bay City to compete in the Michigan Idol singing competition, which began on February 12, 2009.

New competitors can still enter the competition -- Come on out and see what the excitement is all about, says Stables Manager James McClure. Its not just for singers, it's for all who enjoy entertainment, good food, fun and friends.

This competition will earn the winner a chance to sing at the Labadie Pig Gig - Big Stage this summer at Vet's Park in Bay City. Now is your chance to be a Super Star!

(Above) 16 year old, Taylor Vitany, showed everyone, that although she may be young, she has a strong voice! Everyone hopes to see Vitany at the next competition.

(Above) Last but certainly not least -- Gwen Kolbiaz finished up the competition on Thursday night. Kolbiaz is a hair stylist at Looks Unlimited on Midland Street, Bay City.

(Above Left) Chuck Kirkbride brought a side kick whose name is 'Peaches'.( Idol Judge Steve Armstrong laughed, "What would really be good, is if the bird sang also," Armstrong said. (Above Right) Chuck Sharrow also sang in the competition. Sharrow is the father of Deb Kirkbride.

(Above) Always changing her appearance, Jessica Rex was back in full force and gave it her all. Rex shows a lip-print "memento" -- a compliment from a fan after her performance.

Come early and enjoy dinner at the Stables or Lumber Barons.

(Above Left) Idol Judge Steve Armstrong gives a "thumbs up" as he smiles for MyBayCity cameras with wife Denise. (Above Right) You know the competition is ready to begin when Host Doug Dore does the opening performance.
