Support Local Charities at the Labadie Pig Gig Celebrity Cook Off

Mark Torregrossa from WEYI wrangles with WNEM's Cindy Althoff during the 2009 celebrity cook-off, each trying to entice tasters to vote for their ribs.

Local Media Celebrities are teamed with a Rib Competitor and a Recipient Charity. The general public is invited to attend the Celebrity Rib Cook-off from Noon until 1:00 p.m. on Friday on August 6th. (Free Admission)

Each celebrity will make their own sauce and ask their fans to come down and vote for them. Guests are issued ballots and will place ballots at a designated location.

Winners will be announced at approximately 1:15 p.m. Winners will receive trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribs. 3 trophey categories have been added this year. Including, the best 'Spirit Award' - which will go to the team that gives it their 'all'!

CELEBRITIES COMPETING THIS YEAR FOR CHARITY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:



All for a good cause, raising money for local charities, have ribs for lunch this Friday at the Labadie Pig Gig at Veterans Memorial Park in Bay City !!
