The 'Happy Bus' took it's first tour around Bay City to and from Midland Street on Friday, January 7th, 2011.

What is the Happy Bus? The Happy Bus is a service by Dore Bars/Restaurants/Venues to the community that will pick you up from home, work, local hotels, where ever, and when you have had enough FUN, call to be taken to where you started or home!

Businessman Art Dore said on Friday, "Our aim is to let you have a good time and be safe by preventing drunk drivers from getting behind the wheel."

According to Dore, The bus will travel anywhere approximately in a 5 mile radius including, Essexville, and Kawkawlin.

"It's a Great Deal and a Smart Choice!" added, Dore.


THE HAPPY BUS is a 19 passenger bus all decked out with THE HAPPY BUS's Logo's and is available Thursday through Saturday evening starting at 6 PM

A $10.00 donation per person benefits the American Athletic Association (AAA) and benefits you from losing your license, which will cost you thousands of dollars to fight it. A DUI can ruin your image, lose your job, or kill or injure yourself or an innocent person.

All you have to do is call 989-714-9742.

Each rider receives five - $1.00 off coupons for Dore Establishments and a card to call the driver for your safe trip home.

The driver will drop you off and pick you up at any of the Dore Establishments and use your $1.00 off coupons at the following Dore Businesses:
  • Hooters of Bay City
  • Big House Country and Sports Bar
  • Barts Restaurant and Brewery
  • Duso's Bar
  • Brady's Restaurant and Pub
  • The Prime Event Center
  • Stables Martini and Cigar Bar
