When the Bay City American Hockey players were inducted into the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame back in October of 2008, there was really no team picture that included all of the inductees.
And therefore, there was no team photo displayed at the Bay County Community Center -- The current "Home" of the Hall of Fame.
Dave Szutkowski, one of the Bay City American inductees, contacted HOF President O.J. Cunningham and asked how the HOF was going to handle this situation.
Cunningham and Szutkowski worked out a design for a HOF plaque that would satisfy all of the inductees from that night in 2008.
Szutkowski was on hand when the plaque was completed and was pleased to pose for a photo with Cunningham.
"This plaque is perfect," said Szutkowski. "It's got everybody's name and the year they played. Just seeing it gives me goosebumps." Szutkowski said with a big smile on his face.
According to Cunningham, the plaque should be framed and on the wall at the Community Center within a week.
