We have just been made aware by our Event sponsor, Champion Diversified Industries that Ryan Burpee is not doing well down in Ann Arbor. He could use our readers prayers and CDI would appreciate people purchasing tickets to a fundraiser for this young boy. This family is struggling to continue the fight for their grandchild.
Ryan Burpee is an extraordinary child who at only 6 years old is battling a life threatening disease. Ryan had been complaining of stomach pains in April 2008. Doctors initially thought he had the stomach flu. But after weeks of vomiting, doctors found lumps in his stomach. He was immediately transferred to Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan where doctors later diagnosed him with Burkitt's lymphoma. Burkitt's lymphoma, is a form of stomach cancer, commonly found in children. Champion Diversified Industries, Inc., is helping to organize a Kingfish Comedy Night Fundraiser at the Kingfish Restaurant on March 29, 2009. Tickets are on sale for $20.00 each. All tickets will include a full buffet, live auction, non-alcoholic beverages, and comedian. A portion of the proceeds will help in assisting Ryan's Grandparents in the day to day costs involved with raising a child with cancer. The CDI group is in Ann Arbor visitng the family today, therefore, if you are interested in purchasing a ticket to his fundraiser, you may contact us at (989) 992-8085, we have some available at the request of CDI.
