LaSalle, the exporer was not a Jesuit priest. Although in France,he entered the Jesuit seminary, and had taken two vows, his third vows was not taken, as the priests at the head of the seminary stated that LaSalle suffered from "moral infirmities." It was not until the Talon Interrogations, held at the Louvre in Paris, after the death of LaSalle in Texas, does one discovery what those infirmities were.At the interrogations, held to discover the fate of Fort St. Louis in Texas, does one learn,"Why was LaSalle always sleeping with his male indian servants."
