Mr. Rogers:
Your article is on target. If there where more of the Berine Sanders in the world this country that I love would be a better place. To "BUY" a seat in politics is becoming the norm and I hope that our founding fathers would rebel if this what the envisioned. This whole thing of buying a politician has got to stop. It makes it more evident that our vote, the american people have wasted our vote even before we go to the polls. Nice read again Mr Rogers ! |

Tennis1960? Are you aware that Bernie Sanders himself claims to be the only socialist member of the U.S. Senate? The United States was set up by it's founders to be a Constitutional Republic, NOT A SOCIALIST FEDERATION! During the Cold War, and the resentment of socialist USSR, if a U.S. citizen claimed to support socialism, they would have been chastised and considered on the fringes of American society. Funny how far we've turned away from the original intent of this country's founders. Therefore, nothing that the founding fathers ever did would come anywhere near the world that Bernie Sanders aspires to live in. His ideology would have been scoffed at by the founders.
The irony here of course is that Sanders graduated from James Madison High School in New Hampshire. The same James Madison who is recognized to be the key draftsman of a couple of minor documents (by today's standards anyway) known as the Constitution of the United States and Bill of Rights. He was one of the quintessential founding fathers! One could imagine that if James Madison himself were able to somehow teach a government class attended by Bernie Sanders, and Sanders spewed to him his brand of governance, Madison would probably have worn out a ruler on him. Perhaps you should have attended that class also! |
